3D Bioprinting 2030 Forum

The convergence of advances in biomaterials, stem cell biology and 3D fabrication has enabled us to tackle challenges in health, food production and remote manufacturing that may have seemed insurmountable just a few years ago.

So can we imagine what the next few years will bring?

This panel of experts are going to give that a red hot go, featuring:

  • A/Prof Payal Mukherjee, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital: ENT surgeon and a recognised expert in the translation of new technologies into medical practice. Payal will present her vision for 3D Biofabrication in the year 2030.
  • Dr Cathal O’Connell, RMIT: Research scientist and a scientific communicator. Cathal will present his vision for the use of 3D Biofabrication in Space travel.
  • Prof Bhesh Bhandari, University of Queensland: Research scientist who has pioneered the development of 3D printing of foods. There is no doubt there will be great advances in this area as we stride towards 2030.

The panel will be hosted by:

  • Prof Gordon Wallace: ACES Diretor, research scientist and recognized leader in the field of 3D Biofabrication.
  • Prof Mia Woodruff: Internationally renowned expert in tissue engineering and Biofabrication, with extensive experience in all aspects of biomaterial scaffold fabrication techniques, pre-clinical models and histological analysis.

The event is finished.
