5G Urban Nature Information Session
Exploring the potential of urban nature with 5G technology in collaboration with UBC and Rogers Communications Inc.
Taking a moment every day to breathe in fresh air is important for our mental and physical well-being. These small changes in our lifestyle can mean a healthier workforce in the long term and major boosts in productivity in the short term. Our team of researchers at the University of British Columbia, in collaboration with Rogers Communications Inc., have been working on an innovative technology system to maintain and leverage the massive potential of nature in cities. Based on state-of-the-art 5G technology, these projects use data from sensors and smartphones to inform the future of sustainable urban forestry.
Join us for a 90-minute info session where we will explore our research to date and share upcoming opportunities for collaboration in partnership with UBC and Rogers as we continue our research and deploy a series of pilot projects.
This event is open to all attendees with interest in 5G technology applications to support urban nature. We welcome attendees to share this invitation with their peers. At the end of the session, a team member will follow up with those interested, to discuss potential next steps for closer collaboration. If you are unable to attend but would like more information, please contact us using the “Contact the Organizer” feature in Eventbright.
