ADDC Webinar Series on Bioentrepreneurship: “Navigating Transitions”
Join us for breakfast, lunch, or cocktails in your local time zone for our monthly webinar series on bioentrepreneurship.
In this “Things I Wish I Knew” series, we will learn from prominent scientists, entrepreneurs, and investors about their successes, struggles, and the things they wished they knew before starting their journey.
“NAVIGATING TRANSITIONS BETWEEN ACADEMICS AND INDUSTRY”
Our June 2021 webinar, Navigating Transitions, will be a conversation with Dr. David C. Morris and Dr. Pilar Ruiz-Lozano around making successful transitions: from academia to industry and from industry to academia. They will discuss their motivations for making these career transition, their expectations going in, and the lessons that they have learned along the way. They will describe surprises they’ve experienced and their advice to researchers considering similar opportunities.
Dave Morris has deep experience from the pharmaceutical industry (GSK), academics (UNC) and biotech (Precision Biosciences). Pilar Ruiz-Lozano has a strong academic background (Sanford Burnham, Stanford, Imperial College London) and start-up experience as co-founder and CSO at Regencor.
This Seminar series is hosted by the Academic Drug Discovery Consortium (ADDC). The ADDC is a professional society dedicated to building the community of academic drug discovery labs and the companies, universities, and government agencies that support and partner with these centers.
