AI & The Brain (hosted by Columbia University)
Hello lovely community,
The Synapse is back!
We are truly excited to invite you once again to our virtual community space where we explore our lives through a neuroscientific lens.
In the final Synapse of the year, we will be hosting the awe-inspiring Dr. Bing Wen Brunton for a mind-blowing talk on Artificial Intelligence (AI) & The Brain. Dr Brunton has the wonderful ability to explain complex ideas within AI in an approachable way (which we love!).
No prior knowledge is needed – the event is open to all.
What is AI? What potential does it hold? How will it shape the future of humanity? What is the connection between AI and the brain? These are just a few of the questions that come to mind when hearing the term Artificial Intelligence. Join us as we dive into the fascinating world of AI, and see how and where it can impact our daily lives.
Dr. Bing Wen Brunton is a decorated researcher, Associate Professor and H. Stewart Parker Faculty Fellow at the University of Washington, where she conducts research on the brain, behavior, and data science. Her unique perspective that combines neuroengineering, data science, and biology gives her work an extraordinary view on both the human brain and artificial intelligence.
We can’t wait to see you on Saturday the 4th of December at 11:00AM EST. Dr. Brunton’s talk will be followed by a Q&A session. Everyone is invited!
Come join us on this journey and follow us on Instagram @the.synapse.nyc for more info! We cannot wait to see you there and to co-create magic with you.
