Applying AI to tackle the Climate Crisis
Each month we listen to change-makers and forward-thinkers leveraging Artificial Intelligence to help deliver on the SDGs.
Concern over climate crisis is at its highest level in 30 years in wake of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, released on August 9. Findings of the latter are irrevocable : climate change is widespread, rapid, and intensifying, and some trends are now irreversible.
According to scientists from Oregon State University, our planet is indeed currently approaching a series of vital climate tipping points, and some may have already been exceeded, such as melting ice and deforestation (article).
Innovation in the field of Artificial Intelligence and collaboration to manage the climate crisis are more urgent today than it ever has been before. Caroline Lair, Founder of The Good AI and Priya Donti, Cofounder and Chair of Climate Change AI will discuss what it takes during our next conversation on September 22 together with 4 brilliant startup founders :
Michal Nachmany, Founder CEO of Climate Policy Radar
Diego Saez Gil, Cofounder and CEO of Pachama
Corinne Bach, Cofounder of Carbometrix
Max Evans, Cofounder and CTO of ClimateAI
