Back to Basics: 3 Key Steps for Building a Data-Driven Culture (hosted by Women in Analytics)
Having trouble getting your company’s data initiatives off the ground? It all starts with the basics. In this talk, Trupti Natu, Head of In-Store & Card Strategy and Analytics at Afterpay, and Molly Vorwerck, Head of Content and Community at Monte Carlo, will discuss how data scientists, analysts, and engineers can set up their data teams for success when it comes to driving a data-driven culture and measuring their organizational impact. They’ll discuss how best-in-class data practitioners can apply product thinking and data storytelling to their work to make data a priority for their companies.
Molly Vorwerck is the Head of Content and Community for Monte Carlo, a data reliability company backed by Accel, GGV, Redpoint, and other top Silicon Valley investors, and creator of the industry-leading Monte Carlo Data Observability Platform. Previously, she led the Tech Brand team at Uber, where she managed editorial strategy for the Uber Engineering Blog, the Uber Research Review Program, and Uber AI.
Prior to that, she wrote for USA Today, covering U.S. history, politics, and culture. She graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in American Studies and served as Managing Editor for The Stanford Daily. When she’s not writing or thinking about data, she’s probably watching The Great British Baking Show or reading a murder mystery.
Trupti is a FinTech leader – She is the Head of InStore Card Analytics & Strategy for Afterpay. Previously, she was the Head of Uber Eats Risk & Disbursement Risk. She has a Masters degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelors in Computer Science.
