BioStrand Webinar with Speakers from Data Science Institute (Hasselt University, Belgium)
In our Webinar Series we love to share with you how we develop our solution and how we collaborate with universities and industrial partners
An international exclusive: VIP speakers from the Data Science Institute (Hasselt University, Belgium will, for the first time, reveal the results of a validation study using BioStrand’s Retrieve and Relate, the omics-analysis Saas platform.
Prof Dr. Dirk Valkenborg and Dr Joris Van Houtven, 2 outstanding researchers from the Data Science Institute (Hasselt University, Belgium), will be joining us for the next joint BioStrand Webinar on Wednesday May 19th. They will publicly announce the pioneering insights from this collaboration.
Prof. Valkenborg will present ‘A benchmark study to compare sequence retrieval between BioStrand R&R and BLAST.’ This exposé will be followed by Dr Van Houtven’s: ‘PRISM: Assumption-free pattern matching in mass spectrometry-based proteomics.’ In other words, in this comparative study about sequence retrieval, a fundamental part of omics data analytics, the state-of-the-art BLAST methodology is compared to BioStrand’s Retrieve and Relate algorithm. Furthermore, as AI in life sciences is becoming increasingly important for developing new insights, Dr. Van Houtven will share his recent work in that domain, AI assumption free pattern matching in mass-spectrometry data.
Both speakers will give an exclusive insight in how BioStrand’s approach is truly different and will change the omics-analysis approach in a radically new way.
