You will be able to learn about each representative’s career path, what their day-to-day job looks like, how to transition from academia to industry, common mistakes and tips with resumes and applications, etc.
The events will be on zoom and you will be emailed a confidential link on the morning of the event with meeting details.
Tickets (free!) will remain open until 10:00am on August 3.
Attendance will be capped at a maximum of 20 postdoc attendees.
There will be other BPDA-planned, larger scope, unrestricted industry events for learning more about science outside of academia. Please only take this opportunity to register if you are committed to attending the highlighted event.

We are very excited to be hosting Dr. William (Wes) Salomon from Tessera Therapeutics for our next Industry Chat!

Wes is an Associate Director at Tessera Therapeutics where he leads the DeliveryBiology team. He has been with Tessera since early 2019 and manages a group of Scientists and research associates whose focus is on translating discoveries inGeneWriting, Tessera’s platform technology, by using relevant delivery reagents, primary cell models, and in vivo proof-of-concept experiments. Prior to joiningTessera, Wes was at Intellia Therapeutics where he left as a Principal Scientist that led a group of researchers that investigated the kinetics of CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing in mammalian cells using in vitro, cell, and in vivo-based systems. Wes applies his skills and thinking as a biochemist to understand genetic medicine-based therapeutics by focusing his team’s research on the kinetics and rate-limiting steps of these new medicines. Wes’s team’s use of quantitative measures to understand key steps or properties with a therapeutic allows them to merge biology with engineering approaches to overcome limitations to efficacy.
