The Chemical Institute of Canada, Toronto Section (CICTor) is hosting the fifth virtual iteration of our Career Exploration Series on Thursday, June 10th at 6:30 pm EDT. This series features talks by graduates of the chemical sciences who have transitioned to successful careers in a variety of fields.
Join us for a Career Exploration talk on pivoting into consulting by Anjan Mahrok. After finishing her M.Sc. in Chemistry, Anjan worked as a Research Technologist at NOVA Chemicals, designing new catalysts and promoting NOVA’s innovation culture through an internal publication. She became interested in the business side of things and got formal business training through an MBA. Today, Anjan works as a Strategy Manager at Accenture, where she advises energy clients on their strategic priorities including decarbonization and energy transition strategies.
This talk will provide an introduction to the role of a strategy consultant and manager, an overview of Anjan’s career path, and how she leverages her science background with an MBA for her current role. A Q&A session will follow.
