This workshop looks at how to create needs-driven approaches to problem solving using the concept of ‘Design Thinking’: an approach to dealing with complex problems by developing creative and effective solutions.
Facilitator Lucas Chang will explore the concept of Design Thinking and lead a workshop where you will learn how to apply design thinking to better resolve problems both at work and in your personal life.
About the Facilitator
Lucas Chang is the founder and program director of Y2 Entrepreneurship Labs, which helps students from grades 6-12 to develop their problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial mindset. Lucas is a regular workshop facilitator, speaker, mentor and judge at startup and student-focused forums. He has served as Program Director at the TMS-Schulich Experience 2021, program designer at Shad Online 2020, Program Co-Director at Shad York 2019, co-instructor for Seneca College’s HELIX Summer Institute in 2020 (and again in August 2021), co-lead of Startup York, principal consultant at KnL Business Consulting, and member of the York Angel Investor network.
Previous to this, Lucas served in leadership roles at TELUS and Accenture. When not facilitating workshops and programs, Lucas keeps a close eye on happenings in the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse.
