The Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning, Goldwind Australia, Lacour, CATCON and Yurika invite you to a virtual industry briefing event around opportunities for regional businesses for the construction of stage one of the Clarke Creek Wind Farm Project.
This briefing will provide information about the project status and timelines, work packages, how suppliers apply for those opportunities. Presentations will be delivered by:
• Clarke Creek Wind Farm Pty Ltd – Proponent
• Goldwind Australia – Wind Turbine Contractor
• CATCON – Civil works prime contractor
• Yurika – Electrical works prime contractor
The first stage of Clarke Creek Wind Farm is around a $1 billion investment which will be located within the locality of Clarke Creek, approximately 150km north west of Rockhampton and 150km south of Mackay in Central Queensland. The 450-500MW first stage of the project will comprise 100-111 wind turbines and associated ancillary infrastructure. Stage two will provide a further 400MW. Construction is planned to commence in 2021 and be completed in 2024. The project will create approximately 350 jobs during the peak construction period and up to 15 fulltime jobs will be required once operational.
