Clean Tech Equity + Opportunity Series – Virginia Forum

This event will inform HBCU and underserved students about economic opportunities in the clean technology sector, focusing on solar energy.

The Clean Tech Equity + Opportunity Series – Virginia Forum is designed for Historically Black College and University (HBCU) students, underserved minority students, and related stakeholders in Virginia (USA). This virtual Forum will expose and educate students and key stakeholders about career and entrepreneurial opportunities in the Clean Technology sector, emphasizing renewable energy technologies, with a focus on solar energy. This effort seeks to leverage the influence of universities, HBCUs and the power of corporations to ensure equity in this growing sector of the economy.
The half-day (4-hours) virtual Forum will be presented in three sessions:

Session 1: Defining Equity in the Clean Energy Economy. In this session, we will discuss barriers to equity in clean technology within higher education, professional networks, and underserved communities.

Session 2: Identifying Opportunities in the Clean Energy Economy. This session will explore economic opportunities in clean technology with corporations, entrepreneurs, and government.

Session 3: Unifying Themes and Making the Leap. This last session will connect the desired outcomes and begin laying a path forward.

We will also present Virginia state resources, community partners, and other stakeholder organizations having a vested interest in supporting equity and opportunity in the CleanTech economy.

The event is finished.
