CMI Women: The Broken Talent Pipeline: What’s next for women over 50?
Organisations need to retain and empower their talent. Find out how managers and leaders can best support women over 50 in their careers.
The CMI Women objective is to “develop the world’s strongest pipeline of women into management and leadership”, but there are certain areas where this pipeline needs to be fixed.
The choices companies make today will have consequences on gender equality for decades to come. Managers and leaders should demonstrate zero tolerance for discrimination and develop an inclusive culture to better understand and overcome the issues that women face in midlife, thus progressing towards gender balanced leadership.
Women over 50 can too often be disregarded in the workplace, but they are the role models and champions that are needed by organisations to continue attracting the best talent. Both ageism and sexism should be challenged in all forms and the over 50’s championed for their knowledge and skills. Otherwise companies risk losing the leaders who will inspire the next generation’s leadership.
Join us on Wednesday 2nd June where we will be joined by Eleanor Mills CMgr CCMI, Founder and Editor in Chief of Noon and Ann Francke OBE CMgr CCMI to find out how organisations can support and empower women in their mid-lives.
