DETAILS

Paving a path into public interest technology can be a challenge for entry-level technologists. This dialogue is for any entry-level or aspiring entry-level technologists who are interested in learning more about opportunities for technologists in the public interest tech space. Ariana Soto, who leads Coding it Forward’s Civic Digital Fellowship and Civic Innovation Corps programs, will be sitting down with three alumni of the programs to discuss their journeys in the space.

They’ll be sharing about their experiences as summer interns working in federal and local government at the General Services Administration, the Census Bureau, and the City of Boston’s Citywide Analytics Team. Eric, Flora, and Joey have all pursued full-time careers in public interest technology after their Coding it Forward internships and can’t wait to share how they navigated the public interest tech space as early-career technologists. Join them for a conversation about opportunities that exist and how to pave your own path!
