DETAILS

Women in Cybersecurity Delaware Valley Affiliate, formerly known as, Philadelphia Women in Cybersecurity, is pleased to announce our first event as part of the national WiCyS organization.
Join us for an engaging session on Digital Forensics lead by Kiersten Cobb-Wilkins and Devon Campbell.

As technology has evolved, the world of digital forensics evolves with it. We will discuss what digital forensics is, how it’s become beneficial in private and public sectors, and the majority of the devices and data sources being analyzed in today’s society. We will also discuss some key artifacts and where one might find them on a device.

Digital forensics involves the collection and analysis of data from storage media and devices. This is relevant to cybersecurity when responding to incidents and/or engaging in the collection of evidence for civil or criminal cases.

Kiersten Cobb-Wilkins graduated from Chestnut Hill College in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Forensics. Following school she worked as a Digital Forensic Examiner on a government contract in Virginia. Since then she has moved back to Pennsylvania and now works for the Lehigh County District Attorney’s office as a Digital Forensic Analyst. Kiersten performs forensic analysis for two counties on various digital devices such as cell phones, computers, and home video surveillance systems.

The event is finished.
