Exploring the Nature of Technology (hosted by Reading Climate Festival)

Join Erica from Technical Nature for an interactive talk exploring the interconnected and complex relationship between nature and technology

Erica from (Re) Design Studio, Technical Nature, will be hosting an interactive talk as part of the Reading Climate Festival exploring our interconnected and complex relationship between nature and technology, in particular as ewaste has become the fastest growing waste stream in the world.

• What are the positive and negative impacts of the design and use of technology on nature throughout its lifecycle?

• What types of things can we use if for, for supporting nature?

• How does technology both support and hinder our health and wellbeing?

Be ready to get curious, reflect and question the very nature of what’s behind our screens and develop ways to create more balance and considered connection with tech, as well as learn about local initiatives to further support developing a better relationship with it.

This event will be held over zoom.
