DETAILS

The second edition of Fresh Talks focuses on farmer first tech solutions for a regenerative food system. Conventional agri- & aquaculture are supported by a huge industry of suppliers and technology. For regenerative farmers, this is not yet the case. This lack of resources in turn complicates the transition and might actually prevent farmers and companies from transitioning to regenerative practices.

Questions we will dive into are:

– What are problems that technology can help solve?

– How can tech drive the feasibility and attractiveness for farmers to regenerate the ecosystems, soils and waters they farm on?

Speakers

We’ll address these questions with some leading practitioners in the field, together with Koen van Seijen. Koen hosts the Investing in Regenerative Agriculture Podcast in which he talks to pioneers in the regenerative food and agriculture space on how to put our money to work to regenerate soil, ecosystems and local communities.

At Fresh we do not solely focus on land-based agriculture, our eye is also on the sea! On behalf of The Seaweed Company, Wouter Zwagemakers will explain how ‘Blue farming’ can make a change to our food systems by taking us through the seaweed value chain: from sustainable cultivation to marketing seaweed-based products & concepts.

Next up is Manal Elarab, head of business and product development at Regrow. Regrow is a global leader in the field of combining hi-tech farming solutions and scientific data with sustainability.

For whom:

We invite all aspiring regenerative entrepreneurs, investors and other people interested in the Fresh Ventures Program
