The Federal Real Property Association is excited to launch a program series focusing on Federal real estate technology. Real estate technology is rapidly evolving to enable public and private sector building owners to manage their real estate portfolios more effectively. Technology advancement and innovation is helping modernized and transform all aspects of Federal real estate, including portfolio management, design and construction, leasing, and facilities management.

The November FRPA program will focus specifically on innovations in facilities management technologies. The discussion will showcase how the Federal government is embracing advanced technology to operate and maintain its portfolio of owned and leased buildings. The program will take a closer look at advanced systems that help improve building performance, enhance occupant well-being, increase productivity, and manage risk from climate change, public health, and cyber-security threats. The conversation also will examine how the Government is evaluating and applying next generation building technologies to promote environmental stewardship and sustainability.

Our panelists will include:

  • Andrew Heller, Assistant Commissioner for Facilities Management, GSA Public Buildings Service
  • Chip Pierpont, Director, Facilities Operations and Technologies, GSA Public Buildings Service
  • Kevin Powell, Director, Emerging Buildings Technologies, GSA Public Buildings Service
  • Representative from the private sector (invited)
