A fireside chat with CEO and Co-Founder of Telo Therapeutics on how the company got started.
Think you’ve got the next big idea in biotech? Getting an idea off the ground can seem daunting. That’s why we created the Future Founders in Life Sciences Series!
In this ongoing fireside chat series, hosted by MBC BioLabs and Y Combinator, we interview founders of successful biotech and life science startups and ask how they did it!
If you’ve got a big idea, but aren’t sure how to start, this is the series for you!
This month’s speaker is Dr. Robert Bell, co-founder and CEO of Telo Therapeutics Inc., an oncology therapeutics company that utilizes novel precision medicine approaches to reverse cancer cell immortality. The company’s core pipeline focuses on cancer cell-specific inhibitors of telomerase.
Dr. Bell earned his BS from Boston College and his PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of California, San Francisco.
Telo was founded in 2015 based on Dr. Bell’s graduate work and was incubated at MBC Biolabs in San Francisco.
In June, Telo raised $6 Million in Series Seed financing that will be used to develop its small-molecule inhibitors towards clinical candidates directed towards Glioblastoma and other cancer types with high unmet needs.
