Welcome to the CMP Alumni Fireside Chat Series! We will be inviting engaging speakers to converse with our alumni about their varied experiences in the work place, post-Hacking 4 course or in academia.
Our third chat will be with Hetti Barkworth-Nanton, CEO of Ploughshare Innovations and Chairman of the Board for the domestic abuse charity Refuge. CMP Executive Director Dr. Ali Hawks will be in conversation with Hetti about the commercialisation of technology, what type of technologies the government is emphasising, and how we build the grassroots national security innovation base with Mission Driven Entrepreneurship™.
Hetti has a career spanning British Airways, Centrica, BT and Vodafone, leading financial, commercial and transformational change, often enabled by leading edge technology. Over the last 10 years, she has brought her expertise and collaborative leadership skills into the telecommunications industry, being responsible for delivering the commercial model for Openreach on its establishment, and latterly for the transformation of the Vodafone UK Enterprise business, which works with many of the large UK businesses including public sector such as MOD. Hetti is committed to leadership for good, as well as good leadership, and is the founder and chair of a domestic abuse charity for children as well as being a Pioneer at Safelives.
