DETAILS

The recent suborbital adventures by billionaires and celebrities, the latest being none other than Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner), have brought fresh attention on the capabilities of the private sector. While private industry has been launching and operating commercial satellites for decades, the ability to send humans into space and bring them safely back to Earth have been previously the exclusive province of a handful of governments.

The question is whether the private space industry in the United Kingdom is ready to embrace the opportunities and meet the challenges presented as it ventures towards another evolutionary stage of commercial development.

As part of the Space Month! series of events, the Intellectual Forum of Jesus College, Cambridge, presents an opportunity for all to meet (virtually) and watch some of the leaders in the space industry discuss this and other timely and relevant issues confronting the U.K. space industry today.

The event is finished.
