IEEE GRSS Boston Hackathon: Using AI to label emergency infrastructure needs on imagines acquired by MIT Lincoln Lab lidar data
Use artificial intelligence to label emergency infrastructure needs on imagines acquired by MIT Lincoln Lab lidar data!
Use Lidar data of Puerto Rico (after hurricane Maria, 2017) provided by MIT Lincoln Laboratories to write an algorithm using AI to find and label the following items on an image:
Damaged roads and buildings;
Areas with a high risk of landslide;
Areas that are isolated (with no roads connection available in/out);
Areas in need of communication networks;
Crops and relevant damage to agriculture.
We will give away prizes for the first, second, and third places:
Eligibility: undergraduate students from universities in the USA, Brazil, Italy, and Spain.
Save the date: the welcoming session will happen on July 31st at 11am EDT.
