In this workshop, students will learn the basics of creating interactive filters using SPARK AR. This free software, created by Meta is designed to be easy to learn and will allow users to create filters which can be uploaded to Instagram and Facebook. In this introductory class we’ll cover over using face trackers, importing and texturing 3d objects as well as a primer on the node based system for creating custom interactions.

About the Facilitator
Tobias Williams is an artist and educator based in Toronto, Canada. He holds an MFA from York University and currently works as an instructor at OCAD U, Humber College and Toronto School of the Arts. His work has been shown both locally and internationally including exhibitions at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin as part of Transmediale, Material Art fair in Mexico City, The Brandscape In Toronto and the AGM in Mississauga.
