DETAILS

How can Information Systems support a global environmental conservation organisation?

Information Systems have become critical tools for all companies today, especially through the COVID pandemic. For an International organisation with staff and stakeholders located across the planet, IS is in central focus to keep conservation tasks “alive” everywhere.

Join us to hear our IT leader talk about typical ‘big issues’ for his work, his organisation, his world – and some of the challenges and opportunities for us too.

IUCN, Switzerland

IUCN, the International Union for Conservation of Nature, helps the world find pragmatic solutions to our most pressing environment and development challenges. It supports scientific research, manages field projects all over the world and brings governments, non-government organisations, United Nations agencies, companies and local communities together to develop and implement policy, laws and best practice..

SPEAKER BIOGRAPHIES

Francois Jolles – CIO/Director, Global Information Systems at IUCN, Switzerland

Francois is responsible for development and implementation of IUCN’s enterprise-wide information management and technology systems. As a global organisation IUCN is highly dependent on decentralized knowledge generation and diversified project implementation. IS plays a major role in enabling this through the strategic delivery of systems that support IUCN’s project and planning cycle and enable collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organisation.
