Large Area Mapping with Drones – Workflow Overview
Join KR for this informative session on the overview of how to map large areas.
Kuker-Ranken (KR) Lunch & Learn sessions are short webinars designed to help the AEC, GIS, and Public Safety communities and hardware users get up to speed with what’s happening with Technology whether it’s unmanned, software, hardware, techniques, tips, best practices, or what’s new in the industry. At no cost to attendees, we’re grateful to our sponsors, partners, vendors, and customers for being a part of these 15-25 minute webinars.
Ample time at the end of the session is available for any questions that you may have.
In this lunch and learn session, Douglas Spotted Eagle will share his insights on how to best process a large area for aerial mapping.
Large area captures for purposes of investigation are unique, requiring rapid capture to eliminate/minimize shadow movement which may obfuscate or entirely conceal key evidence. Planning these sorts of large area captures for purposes of evidence require strategy, forethought, and experience. In this session, Douglas Spotted Eagle will discuss and demonstrate how a forensic capture of a 77 acre helicopter accident took place, with brief discussion of the way unmanned aircraft were used for the One October/Harvest Festival shooting in Las Vegas, which took place over 19 acres with finite evidence, both horizontal and vertical.
We look forward to welcoming our Kuker-Ranken and Sundance Media Group friends from across the USA.
