DETAILS
Making use of additive manufacturing techniques can offer new design freedoms, but how can you use them to your advantage? With so many terms used to describe the different techniques available such as ‘generative design’, topology optimisation’, and ‘latticing’, it can be difficult to know where to start and which techniques could be right for you.
In this online event, our Research and Development Engineers will explain the different design methodologies and optimisation techniques. We will also be joined by Anthony O’Riordan, Managing Directory of Kaizen PLM, an accredited additive manufacturing expert partner for Siemens Digital Industries Software in the UK&I.
Made by Digital – an NMIS online event series
The future of Manufacturing is undoubtedly digital, but what does that mean and how can you be part of it?
Additive Manufacturing (AM) is at the forefront of digitally-enabled manufacturing. AM covers such a wide range of technologies and associated themes/topics – it can be difficult to know where to start, and how to assess the suitability of emerging technologies for your business.
To ensure Scotland’s manufacturing sector is at the forefront of digitally-enabled manufacturing, our teams from the NMIS Digital Factory and the Manufacturing Skills Academy have designed a two-part series of Rapid Knowledge Transfer Seminars (RKTS) aimed at developing your knowledge and understanding of the latest innovations in digital manufacturing technologies and software.
