Research Seminar: Queer in AI
A research seminar by the Edinburgh University Staff Pride Network
Sabine (she/her) is a PhD student researching AI and language while being annoyed about the lack of multilingual tools. Her office has a unicorn. In her free time, she misses Berlin, naps, and makes lino print art. Twitter: @multilingual_s
Queer in AI was established by queer scientists in AI with the mission to make the AI community a safe and inclusive place that welcomes, supports, and values LGBTQIA+ people. We work towards this aim by building a visible community of queer and ally AI scientists through social meetups, conference poster sessions, mentoring programs, and many other initiatives. No matter whether you are working on AI yourself or not, systems using AI touch every aspect of our life so come by and learn about the grassroot organisation that works on changing how these systems are made!
This research seminar is a fantastic opportunity to connect with others researching LGBTQ+ topics both within and outside the University of Edinburgh.
There will be opportunity for audience questions.
Zoom details are provided to ticketholders via Eventbrite (tickets are free).
