DETAILS

In this brand new podcast, listeners are invited to hear informative and engaging stories about engineering.

These telling narratives were created by fictional writers, based on real-life interviews with Askwar Hilonga, Sophie Robinson and Sian Cleaver three inspiring and diverse engineers each with a unique story to share.

In this session you’ll hear how Askwar from Tanzania grew up drinking dirty water, but has now designed a piece of equipment that adapts water purifying, exploiting nanotechnology to improve health while Sophie, an Aerospace Engineer, is helping design the first electrical vertical take-off and landing aircraft. To finish, we’ll meet Sian, who’s working on the spacecraft that will take the first women to the moon.

During the premiere of this event there will be an opportunity for the audience to put questions to the engineers in a live text Q&A hosted by Inventive’s presenter, Prof Trevor Cox, Acoustical Engineer.

This event is supported by EPSRC.
