Tech For Good 2021

An annual innovation challenge to find innovative solutions for people with disabilities. This event is open to public.

Tech for Good (T4G) is an annual innovation challenge organized by Engineering Good that celebrates the use of technology in helping people with disabilities and the elderly live a life of opportunities. This year, we are proud to co-produce T4G 2021 with Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).

This year, we have 40 teams of innovators in the 15-25 year-old age group who have developed great ideas across 26 problem statements spanning over 4 different themes. They will be showcasing the Assistive Technology prototypes built by themselves during the Team Presentations. We also have a Panel Discussion by guest speakers and will be conducting the sessions via Zoom.

To overcome the social distancing rule, the teams have set up their virtual booths on Gather.Town, a video-conferencing platform where users can customize their own avatar and interact with others in a virtual setting. Mingle and chat with our teams over in Gather.Town, find out what inspires them and the challenges they face when solving these problem statements.

Joining us on Gather.Town are the community partners (CPs) and makerspaces that have assisted the teams in the refinement of their solutions and creation of their prototypes. Do come down to get to know the CPs various programmes serving people with disabilities and workshops + activities the makerspaces have. T4G alumni teams will also be there to share more about their experience working with the users and the projects they have been working on.

The links to both Zoom and Gather.Town will be sent nearer to date.

Join us on the 6th of November to see the teams in action. We hope to see you there!

The event is finished.
