Tech Thursday – International Collaboration Opportunity for SMEs



‘Supporting Advanced Manufacturing SMEs to Grow and Export’

IDEAM (Irish Digital Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing) Cluster assists Manufacturing SMEs in all aspects of digital transformation and Industry 4.0. The cluster will help more than 70 Manufacturing SMEs, from the Mid West and all over Ireland to increase productivity, improve competitiveness and expand into international markets. Limerick Institute of Technology was awarded the maximum allocation of €406,520 from the €4.6 million Regional Technology Cluster Fund (RTCF) to build the IDEAM Cluster. The RTCF is a fund which provides a platform for engagement between enterprise and regionally-based academic institutions to drive productivity and competitiveness in and across the regions. Under Project Ireland 2040, this fund is administered by Enterprise Ireland on behalf of the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation.

In collaboration with CLAUT Automotive Cluster in Nuevo León, Mexico:, the next Tech Thursday IDEAM Cluster webinar will focus on “International Collaboration Opportunity for SMEs ‘’. Mr. Ricardo Apaez, Innovation Director and Mr. Horacio Zamarripa Dávalos, Innovation and Industry 4.0 will be delivering the presentation on the day.

CLAUT’s aim is to boost competitiveness and increase the automotive sector in the region through collaboration, entailment, and synergies between government, academia, and businesses. To be recognized in the automotive industry by the high degree of competitiveness, technology, and sustainable growth in Nuevo Leon and surroundings, contributing to the development of Mexico.
