The Big Ten Augmented Intelligence Bowl Finals
The first Big Ten Augmented Intelligence Bowl Finals event, hosted by Northwestern’s Institute for Augmented Intelligence in Medicine.
The Institute for Augmented Intelligence in Medicine (I.AIM) at Northwestern University is hosting the inaugural Big Ten Augmented Intelligence Bowl to address health disparities.
The challenge: how can augmented intelligence (AI) address health disparities?
This two-part event concludes on October 22nd with a finals event. The winning team will earn $35,000.
In April, multi-disciplinary teams from schools across the Big Ten Academic Alliance identified a problem, pitched a creative solution, and presented their proof of concept. Judges evaluated proposals on a set of criteria, including quality, feasibility, scalability, and presentation. Teams from University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign, University of Wisconsin – Madison, Northwestern University, Penn State, and Indiana University advanced to finals.
Since April, teams have worked with academic and industry mentors and leaders to develop their AI implementation proposals.
