The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS): Sources Sought Notice – AI for ITS Program
Artificial Intelligence (AI) for ITS Program Free Public Webinar Series – Webinar #2: Sources Sought Notice – AI for ITS Program
The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Joint Program Office (JPO) will host its second webinar regarding the Artificial Intelligence (AI) for ITS Program. The AI for ITS Program’s vision is to advance next generation transportation systems and services by leveraging trustworthy, ethical AI (including machine learning) for safer, more efficient, and accessible movement of people and goods. This webinar aims to provide an overview of the sources sought notice (SSN) and instructions for submitting responses.
The AI for ITS Program’s goal is to cost effectively build and deploy AI for ITS capabilities in real-world modal use. Therefore, the purpose of the SSN is to determine if there are any entities that have interest in completing work in development, testing, pilot deployments, and evaluation of applications leveraging AI to address transportation needs, specifically in ITS. These include improving the transportation system and users’ safety, mobility, accessibility, productivity, efficiency, and environmental impacts. This webinar will cover the following topics:
Introduction of AI for ITS Program, including program vision, mission, goals and approaches;
Synopsis of the questions listed in the SSN; and
Instructions for submitting the SSN responses
