UM Deep Tech Startups Co-Founder Search Day 2021
Universiti Malaya researchers will pitch their startup researched ideas in search of business co-founders with equity participation.
UM Centre of Innovation and Commercialization (UMCIC) has developed a signature program, called UM Deep Tech (UMDT). This is a new initiative from UMCIC to bring the university technology from lab to market.
It is a six-month unique accelerator program that compasses 24-weekend classes and a hands-on market validation study. The selected startup projects will also be participating in an external pitching program to get some valuable insight and experience as their final preparation before UMDT Demo Day. To sum, the program aims to enhance the university’s entrepreneurial values as well as to nurture University Startups through financial support, mentorship, exposure to investors pitching, and market validation guidance.
