What are the challenges for AI in the Future?
AI in the future, friend or foe? What should we keep in mind when we move development further. Is there anything that is more important?
We are hosting an open community event, and this time we dive into the discussion on Artificial General Intelligence from the philosophical perspective.
The speaker of this event, dr. Stefan Buijsman is a talented researcher and the youngest person in modern history to get a Ph.D. in Sweden at the age of 20. Now he is working at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
Stefan will talk about the future of AI and the challenges for developers to design technologies that adhere to our values, such as fairness and accountability
What challenges are there for AI in the future, seen from a philosophical perspective?
While there are worries around the creation of Artificial General Intelligence, and the timeframe we should consider for the development of such technologies.
However, I want to stress that these are not the only challenges we face for the future of AI.
The question of value alignment, while relevant for AGI, is also pressing for current narrow AI.
How do we design technologies that adhere to our values, such as fairness and accountability?
Here too, philosophical challenges make it into the developer’s sphere.
We look forward in seeing you online at the event!
