The digital divide is a term that describes the disparity between those who are able to access and use technology and those who are not. When large populations aren’t able to access and use technology, they are prevented from entering a competitive job market. Austin Free-Net is able to help provide access to technology because of the support of some of Austin’s Big Tech companies. In this panel discussion, we will also learn about the many other programs and initiatives large tech companies are supporting and sometimes conducting in house.
