Women in Engineering at BT

Interested in a new career where you’ll be responsible for connecting millions of people? Hear directly from our people about this role.

What if we told you that you can have a job where you’re connecting millions of people? That traffic lights, air traffic control, bank transfers, wi-fi, mobile and landline networks wouldn’t work if it wasn’t for you?

That’s right. There’s a job like that. Our engineers/technicians make sure that you’re connected to people, entertainment like our favourite streaming platforms for shows and music or crucial services like the 999.

And you might think that prior experience is required. Well, the good news is that it is not. We’re looking for people that are just willing to learn and be their best selves, either fixing a fault in an exchange or climbing a radio mast. Besides that, a valid driver’s license with no points.

So, if you’re someone who’s looking for a new career or just a change, the office 9-5 style is not for you, then this might be the role you’re looking for.

In this session you’ll hear from

– Adam Neale, Director of Engineering Services at BT

– Laura Smith, Power Engineer based in Lincolnshire

– Megan Rogers, former Engineer and now Learning and Development Lead in Engineering Services

We’ll have hundreds of roles going live on June 1st across the country and this is the perfect opportunity to learn more about our women in engineering, life at BT and the perks of the role.

If you have any questions feel free to send us a DM on our Facebook or Instagram.
