In acknowledgement of the World Health Organisation (WHO) / Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nation’s (FAO) World Food Safety Day (June 7, 2022), join us to hear how we can all collaborate to ensure food safety.
We will hear from:
Craig Shadbolt, Principal Food Safety Scientist, of the NSW Department of Primary Industries about the importance of standards in maintaining food safety and the Food Standards Code.
Peter Robertson, Technical Manager – Imported Food, of the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (DAWE) will discuss imported food safety requirements and resources, what functions the department fulfills in the importing process and what to do if you have an issue with a shipment.
Neil Brand, Group General Manager – Technical and Compliance, of Manassen Foods Australia will discuss food safety practices, how to work with your supply chain to ensure food safety throughout the life of your products and best practice tips.
The Food Safety and Response team of Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) will discuss their teams role in ensuring food safety, and what to do if you need to recall a food product.
